Abstract

This research discusses the impact of legal purposes from a more specialized and important aspect, as it highlights the doctrinal purposes, and how Ibn Taymiyyah specifically addressed them, while highlighting the decline of their usage among those engaged in jurisprudence and its origins, and he presents proof to that.


 


     The research discussed a specific model to be presented in a practical way, which is the goal of agreement of Muslims, which is one of the most important purposes and after which it is called (Sunnah and al-Jamaa’ah). It explains how this objective can affect legal research and scientific issues in which Muslims differ, and tries to show how to observe this purpose while adhering to the correct belief at the same time.


 


     The research consisted of three topics: The first topic: Ibn Taymiyyah’s correction of the objective consideration, the second topic: the importance of enforcing the doctrinal purposes, and the third topic: enforcing of the purpose of Muslims agreement according to Ibn Taymiyyah.
